Join an 8-day exploration of the Great Plains, a region renowned for its spectacular storm systems. Starting and ending in Oklahoma City, this tour takes you through some of the most tornado-prone areas in the world. As you traverse the Plains, witness the full spectrum of severe weather phenomena, from rotating supercells to sprawling storm fronts. Learn about storm formation, behavior, and safety with insightful commentary and education. With small group sizes (no more than 7 guests) and guaranteed window seats, there will be ample opportunities to photograph and experience the raw power of nature. Learn about meteorology, storm formation, forecasting techniques, and how to spot different types of clouds and weather phenomena. We aim to witness thrilling weather events, such as hail, wall clouds, shelf clouds, lightning displays, supercell thunderstorms, tornadoes, and much more. We strive to get as close to the action as possible while prioritizing safety. Prepare for an unforgettable journey through the heart of America’s storm country.
 
 • Accommodations: 
Book Your Own Lodging (Budget-Friendly Option): You’ll reserve your own hotel rooms—using loyalty points, picking budget motels, or upgrading to premium hotels as you wish. We’ll let you know by early evening each day where we plan to stay overnight, and you’ll be responsible for finding a place within roughly 5 miles of that location. This gives you flexibility to save money or enjoy a more customized lodging experience.
Lodging-Included Upgrade ($3,295): If you prefer a more turnkey experience, please return to the tours page and select the lodging-included version of “Great Plains Tornado Trek.” That package covers 8 nights (including the arrival night, April 24, up to the night before the final tour day, May 1). There’s also a $250 per-person shared-room discount under that option.
